The Founders / Owners

Margo Holland and Sheila Tishler are the co-founders and owners of Mother Nature Day Care since 1983.

They met each other in kindergarten and were re-introduced to each other in their 40's. At this time they found that they had similar interests and ideals. Both had raised their own family; Sheila was a stay-at-home mother and Margo had been a single working-mother with her child in a day care.

They started to dream of what the ideal place for children would be and in 1983 they proudly opened Mother Nature Day Care, putting forward their ideas, emphasizing a program of learning through play, a healthy menu, a fun place to be and always time for love and nurturing the child and child's spirit. They went back to school to get their ECE, giving them the academic standards that complemented their own life experience.

Margo or Sheila work everyday, overseeing the program as it is important to them to have the high standards they created carried out by their very competent, and younger, staff. They bring a lifetime of experience, care and competency that cannot be easily duplicated.
